The C-Lean Energy Academy, a specialized training program on energy transition, sustainable innovation, and Lean & Agile management, continues to shape the future of the energy sector. Developed by Pietro Fiorentini in collaboration with MIP Politecnico di Milano, this initiative brings together students, industry professionals, and corporate leaders to foster expertise in renewable energy, smart infrastructure, and digitalization.
The second week of the program, held from February 28 to March 4, featured lectures from MIP faculty, presentations by Pietro Fiorentini employees, and roundtable discussions with international energy experts and top managers.
Bridging Knowledge and Industry for a Sustainable Future
“The C-Lean Energy Academy is a unique initiative that connects students with industry leaders, helping them build the skills required to navigate the energy transition,” said Professor Davide Chiaroni, Scientific Director of the course.
“This program fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration between future professionals and managers from leading national companies like Pietro Fiorentini.”
Throughout the week, participants explored key themes, including:
- Hydrogen energy and power-to-gas technologies
- Biogas and renewable energy solutions
- Infrastructure management and smart metering
- Digital energy systems and network optimization
- Energy regulations and economic performance analysis
The sessions provided an in-depth look at Italy’s current energy projects, technological advancements, and investment strategies, as well as the challenges and regulatory frameworks shaping the sector.
Smart Metering and Digitalization: A Key Focus Area
A highlight of the week was a session led by Luigi Vigone, Business Development and Smart Projects Portfolio Leader at Pietro Fiorentini, who shared insights into smart meter implementation and cost-benefit analysis.
“On the final day, we presented real-world cases where Pietro Fiorentini acted as a consultant in evaluating the economic feasibility of network digitalization,” said Vigone.
“By analyzing costs and benefits, we demonstrated how smart infrastructure investments can drive long-term sustainability and efficiency.”
