The book delves into Toyota’s internal routines, guiding leaders to become Kata coaches—mentors who train employees to think critically and independently to resolve issues effectively.
In Japanese, Kata refers to a structured way of doing things, a repeatable pattern of actions designed to optimize processes. Pietro Fiorentini is presented in the book as an organization that successfully applies Kata principles to enhance Lean tools, methodologies, and workforce training.
