Micromobility Revolution: Pietro Fiorentini Expands e-Mobility Project

Advancing Sustainable Transportation

Pietro Fiorentini takes a significant step forward in its e-Mobility initiative, promoting sustainable micromobility solutions for employees. On July 19, 2022, at the company’s headquarters in Arcugnano (Vicenza), employees had the opportunity to test SEAT MÓ 125 electric scooters, an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional vehicles.

Organized in collaboration with SEAT representatives in Italy, this initiative marks the beginning of a series of programs aimed at fostering green transportation among employees. Electric micromobility solutions offer both economic and environmental benefits, with an average full charge costing just 2.30 euros. Additionally, compared to a conventional 125cc combustion engine scooter, electric scooters can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 48 kg per 1,000 km, contributing to a greener future.

Driving Change in Corporate Mobility

Lorenzo Groppo, Fleet Manager at Pietro Fiorentini Group, emphasized the advantages of electric transportation:

“Fuel expenses, maintenance costs, and parking issues are challenges we can overcome by transitioning to electric mobility. Our company has expanded the e-Mobility project to include micromobility, fostering a new mobility culture that merges cost efficiency with environmental responsibility.”

e-Mobility: A Commitment to Sustainability

Initiated in 2020, the e-Mobility project has continually evolved to support sustainable transportation. The journey began with the integration of the first electric vehicle and the installation of EV charging stations across multiple Italian sites. Subsequently, 23 electric cars were introduced to form a new corporate pooling fleet. To encourage adoption, employees with a company car benefit have access to extended test drives, allowing them to experience electric vehicles for up to 20 days.

Building on this momentum, Pietro Fiorentini is planning additional micromobility initiatives to further integrate eco-friendly commuting solutions into daily operations.

The Future of Green Mobility

As companies worldwide shift towards sustainable practices, Pietro Fiorentini continues to lead by example, reinforcing its dedication to reducing carbon footprints and promoting efficient mobility solutions.
