Pietro Fiorentini Group has strengthened its presence in the waste management and circular economy sector with the acquisition of a 60% majority stake in Sartori Ambiente S.r.l., a leading company specializing in waste separation technologies and IoT-based recycling solutions. The remaining 40% of shares will continue to be held by Michele Sartori, the founding partner.
Advancing Smart Waste Management and Recycling Technologies
Since 1996, Sartori Ambiente has been at the forefront of waste separation and recycling technologies, offering hardware and software solutions that optimize data collection and analysis to enhance waste collection efficiency. With headquarters in Arco and a technical and operational unit in Telve (both in Trento, Italy), the company has also expanded internationally, holding a 40% stake in Chilean-based GeoCiclos.
By integrating Sartori Ambiente’s expertise with its own biowaste-to-energy solutions, Pietro Fiorentini aims to develop state-of-the-art waste management systems that support the transition to a circular economy. This acquisition complements the Group’s existing solutions provided by Terranova and its subsidiaries, including Ambiente.it, Arcoda, and Giunko.
Strategic Synergies for Innovation and Sustainability
“We are confident that this acquisition will accelerate growth in sectors closely related to our core business,” said Cristiano Nardi, Executive Chairman of Pietro Fiorentini Group.
“By combining the expertise of industry leaders, we will drive innovation, efficiency, and sustainability in waste management, in alignment with the latest technological advancements.”
Sartori Ambiente’s integration into the Pietro Fiorentini Group will enhance its ability to support municipalities and businesses in improving waste collection and recycling processes. The partnership also aligns with Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which promotes sustainable waste management and circular economy projects.
“This collaboration allows us to establish Sartori Ambiente as a leader in the waste management sector both in Italy and globally,” said Michele Sartori, President and Managing Director of Sartori Ambiente.
“With the backing of Pietro Fiorentini and Terranova, we can better support municipalities in meeting the challenges of the PNRR while advancing waste-to-energy projects and sustainable gas production.”
