Pietro Fiorentini Expands e-Mobility Project to Company Cars
Pietro Fiorentini continues its commitment to sustainable mobility with the expansion of its e-Mobility project, initially launched in 2020. The initiative, which began with the introduction of Volkswagen up! electric vehicles and the installation of charging stations across multiple Italian sites, has now grown to include 23 Volkswagen ID.3 electric cars, forming a new pooling fleet.
Transitioning to Electric Vehicles for Employees
Lorenzo Groppo, Fleet Manager of Pietro Fiorentini Group, stated: “We are now transitioning company-assigned vehicles to electric as well. In collaboration with Volkswagen Italy, we are offering employees with car fringe benefits the opportunity to test drive the ID.3 for twenty days to assess its suitability for their needs.”
The long-term test drives have already begun for employees at TIV Valves in Rescaldina (Milan) and will extend to FAST plants in Scandiano (Reggio Emilia), San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone), Desenzano del Garda (Brescia), Rosate (Milan), and the headquarters in Arcugnano (Vicenza). Each of these locations, where most corporate travel occurs, is equipped with on-site electric vehicle charging stations.
Benefits of the e-Mobility Initiative
Employees participating in the program are experiencing several key advantages, including:
- Convenient charging in company parking areas
- Enhanced driving comfort with electric vehicles
- Access to restricted traffic zones with greater flexibility
- Significant reduction in CO₂ emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment
A Sustainable Future in Corporate Mobility
