Developed in collaboration with FM Engineering, an internationally recognized specialist in corrosion prevention and cathodic protection, the facility is designed to simulate real-world scenarios using advanced system configurations.
This milestone reinforces Pietro Fiorentini’s leadership in the field by providing cutting-edge tools for commissioning, monitoring, and simulating impressed current and galvanic anode systems.
Enhancing Research, Training, and Innovation
In December 2020, the test field achieved certification under UNI EN ISO 15257 (Level 4) following examinations by cathodic protection experts. This certification allows the facility to be utilized for:
- Internal and external staff training on cathodic protection systems.
- Development and testing of new products and applications.
- Collaboration with polytechnics, universities, and research institutions for advanced studies and field measurements.
Strengthening Expertise in Cathodic Protection
Nine Pietro Fiorentini employees have already been trained to independently and safely conduct cathodic protection processes.
