A Prestigious Training Program for Energy and Sustainability Professionals
On September 26, 2022, the second edition of the C-Lean Energy Academy officially commenced. This specialized training program, created by Pietro Fiorentini in collaboration with POLIMI Graduate School of Management—the business school of Politecnico di Milano—is designed to equip students with essential skills in energy transition, Lean & Agile Management, and sustainability.
A Transformative Learning Experience for Engineering and Design Students
Targeting engineering and design students, the C-Lean Energy Academy runs until May 2023, culminating in the presentation of project works that address real-world energy and sustainability challenges. The program provides participants with a dynamic learning environment, including:
- Lectures by POLIMI professors, offering cutting-edge insights into Lean & Agile Management, energy transition, and corporate sustainability
- Expert-led discussions with top managers from international companies and Pietro Fiorentini professionals
- Roundtable debates on emerging trends in energy innovation and sustainable business practices
- Virtual collaboration spaces, enabling students to exchange ideas and build professional networks
Hands-On Learning: Site Visits and Industry Engagement
Beyond classroom instruction, the C-Lean Energy Academy integrates practical learning experiences, including:
- Three weeks of on-campus lectures at POLIMI Graduate School of Management’s Bovisa Campus in Milan
- Corporate visits to Pietro Fiorentini’s Italian facilities, including:
- Headquarters in Arcugnano (Vicenza)
- Rosate and Rescaldina (Milan) production plants
- Laboratory research and networking activities to enhance hands-on industry exposure
During their site visits, students witnessed how Kaizen Teams apply Lean Management principles in production environments, providing them with first-hand insights into operational efficiency and process innovation.
First Edition Graduates: Advancing in Energy and Management
Meanwhile, the 25 students from the first edition of the C-Lean Energy Academy have completed their final week of training, focusing on:
- Agile methodologies and innovation management
- Teamwork and leadership development
- Corporate well-being and personnel growth strategies
Their final project presentations, scheduled for December 2022, will showcase innovative solutions in energy efficiency, renewable integration, and sustainable management practices. The event will be attended by Pietro Fiorentini’s top executives, highlighting the program’s commitment to shaping the future of sustainable energy leadership.
